My gardens are changing every year. My husband and I are the only workers so the changes come slowly and the gardens may not always be as neat and tidy as I like but it is still always a very magical place. I love the history here. The Oregon trail passed over the corner of our property. There was an old store here serving travelers and we still find old glass, nails and horseshoes when we dig. Our house was built in 1932 after the old store burned and we continue to heat with wood and cook on a woodstove. Today we practice as much self sufficiency as possible. Simplicity is the rule here. We try to work in tandem with mother nature and show others how to do so as well. I've been growing several varieties of garlic for many years now and I'm proud to offer my own hardneck and softneck varieties bred from Russian and American seed I inherited years ago from a friend. We ship our garlic all over the United States in late summer and early fall.
