WEEKLY FOOD BOX

Each week during the growing season we offer boxes of whatever is ready. In early spring your box could include mesclun greens, micro greens, sprouts of all kinds, wheatgrass, edible flowers and herbs such as sage, thyme, rosemary, cilantro, parsley and basil. As the season progresses we will add to the boxes until they are overflowing with sugar snap peas, beets, kale, collard greens, kohlrabi, carrots, spinach, sorrel, French tarragon, salad burnet, tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, parsnips, shallots, leeks, radishes, cabbage, and our signature garlic.

All of our produce is grown from heirloom  seed. No GMO seeds allowed on our farm. And while we are unable to be certified organic we practice all organic and natural growing methods so  you know your produce is free of pesticides and herbicides.

We have small boxes available for $5 and large for $10. We encourage a weekly commitment. If you pay for the season of 20 weeks in advance your payment would be $90 for small boxes and $180 for large.

PLANTS & VEGETABLES

I love sharing what I do with people. We offer wonderful classes on how to create compost, build raised beds, create inventive trellises and pots, and how to use the produce you receive.

Working in the office with the stress and lack of exercise I gained a great deal of weight. It took getting sick for me to realize my life needed adjustment. That's when I came up with my dream and it's also when I became a vegan and started juicing. I lost a whopping 50 pound my first year. Two years later I'm healthier than ever and loving my life. I love to give classes on juicing and vegan living to anyone who will listen. Soon I will be offering classes on watercolor painting as well.

I offer tours of the gardens throughout the summer and fall season. I have fairy gardens, childrens gardens, and examples of raised bed, straw bale, and vertical gardening.

The mountains around our valley are almost always topped with snow. In fact, at any time during the year we can have a frost or snow. In spite of the challenge the weather presents us we have something growing all year round thanks to our greenhouses, hoop houses and row covers.

SERVICES

STARTER VEGGIE PATCH

Many people ask how I came up with the name to my farm. Well, I was working a very stressful 9 to 5 job that had all the benefits but none of the joy that I found when I was in my garden or creating gardens for friends. My husbands nickname for me at the time was Crazy Lady. When I put in my resignation at the office and told them my dream of providing produce and running a greenhouse everyone looked at me and said "Are you Crazy? Give up your secure job with benefits?" So I decided to name my venture "Crazy Lady Gardens". It makes me smile every time I see it because I'm doing what I love and am passionate about. I've never looked back.
